So You Think You Can Play?
Sound Equipment Information:
We mic and mix up to 8 inputs. They can be vocals, DIs, or amps, in any combination. Remember: amps are for effects, because volume will be handled by the sound board operator. We have a variety of XLR and 1/4" cables, but if you need something exotic, bring your own.
NEW POLICY: IF GEAR IS LEFT FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS ON OUR PROPERTY WITHOUT ANYONE COMING UP TO CLAIM IT. IT WILL BECOME ROCK STEADY'S PROPERTY.
EFFECTIVE APRIL 26th 2007, COMPLETE BOOKING OVERHAUL!
NEW PAYSCALE! PLEASE REVIEW THE BOOKING PAGE!
FORGET WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT OUR PAYSCALE. After a long booking meeting the management has decided to enact an immediate and complete overhaul to the payout system. Band pay is no longer tethered to total show attendance, and the pay per head has been increased by 400 percent.
- If the amount of people who came for your band is [0 - 14], you are paid nothing. We aren’t paying bands to practice.
- If the amount of people who came for your band is [15 - 24], you are paid $2.00 per person.
- If the amount of people who came for your band is [25 - 50], you are paid $3.00 per person.
- If the amount of people who came for your band is [51 - 100] , you are paid $4.00 per cover.
Exceptions may be made for touring bands that do not have an opportunity to promote locally. These agreements must be reached PRIOR to the show. Do not expect a guarantee stipend just for showing up and being in a van towing a trailer. If you're requesting special arrangements it is your responsibility to secure these arrangements before hand.
This plan is subject to change without notice.
Rock Steady Booking Policies:
- Load in time is 45 minutes before your set is scheduled to begins.
- We aren't curse Nazis, but please try to keep your language reasonable.
- No smoking inside of our venue, and absolutely no alchohol on the premises. Violation of either of these rules will result in a ban from the venue.
- If you use extra props (EXAMPLE: Confetti) you WILL CLEAN UP, or you'll face serious consequences.
- Set times will be strictly enforced, plan accordingly .
- The more people you bring, the more you will be paid. Promotion is your new best friend..
- Do not do anything destructive to anybody, or any of the Rock Steady property. This will get you an automatic ban from Rock Steady, and may result in further action.
- Each band is allowed 1 guest list spot. Use it wisely.
- Our sound system is a pair of mics hooked up to a fairly large PA system. We will only provide you with these. If your band needs more mics or anything else, you must provide that, and show up early enough to get the extra equipment configured.
- We have set up the stage in a way that we do not need to mic amps. In order to have the best control over your sound and volume, for guitars at least 60 watts, with 120 watts being highly reccomended. We can mic your kick drum.
- You will be e-mailed a schedule of set times a few nights before your show. you will be allowed as much time as we can give you.
- We will be cool to work with, but showing up more than 10 minutes late without a call ahead will result in the band losing their pay and/or set all together.
Now that you have looked over our rules, send in an e-mail to booking@rocksteadylive.com, and one of our booking agents will contact you as soon as they have reviewed your submission.
