fender guitar toggle switch problem?
i have a secondhand fender strat replica and it works just fine except the action in the neck is just a tad out but so far i havent had a problem with that (im getting it fixed though) but my toggle switch doesnt seem to be working, i switch between the three pickups and it sounds the same for everyone
suggestions?
At the risk of oversimplification, it sounds like a previous owner bypassed the switch; most likely because only one pickup position was preferred, and it removed the risk of shifting the switch inadvertently while playing. Try moving the switch through each position, and gently tap the pickups independently to see which is activated. If you find the same response in each selector switch position, a minor rewiring job will restore the full function of the pickups. Best regards, Dana
