What's wrong with my Wah pedal?

I recently added some velcro to my pedals so that they would stick to my pedal board. All my pedals are working fine except my wah pedal. The only thing i did to it was take off the back cover so that i could get the rubber legs off so that the velcro would actually be able to reach the pedal. I did however take the battery out and look at it and then put it back, But i didnt pull any cords.

First off....what is the problem? Does it not work at all? Does it Operate poorly? Also, Knowing the make and model would be helpful.

Some immediate ideas.....

What have you tried so far to trace the problem?

Did you check the battery (ie: is it dead)?
Did you open it up again to see if you knocked something loose?
Did you try hooking it up to an external power supply?
Did you try new instrument cables on either side of the unit?
Does everything work fine when bypassing the unit completely?

Using Acrylic on metal guitar pedal.?

I just bought my bassist an old DOD bass flanger or for xmas. It was in horrible condition, so I decided I would repaint it. Ive got it sanded to a mirror finish 1000 grit so I'm ready to paint it. I have some acrylic Testors model car paint, and was wondering if I could paint it strait on or if I should put down some Valspar high gloss interior paint that binds to metal on first. I'm going to tape off parts of the pedal so that the metal will show through. I'm thinking about going for a psychedelic design.Would it be better to lay down a coat of clear, paint it, then more clear, or just paint and clear? I'm afraid that it might leave an "orange peel" effect on it if I put the clear down first, but I also want maximum durability.

Prime it, paint it (Testors will work just fine) and then clear coat it to protect the paint from rubbing off. There are many clear varnish spray paints on the market but the most popular one is Krylon Clear Varnish. You can buy Krylon clear varnish at just about any arts and crafts stores or artist supply stores. make sure you clear coat it and the more coats the better.

A petal will get a lot or wear and tare. Protecting the paint is as important as the paint itself. All high quality musical instruments are highly varnished.

Through maturation most of us learn how to become socially adept, but if Darwin has taught us anything, not all of us adapt. You're a first semester freshman in college, and your eating lunch with a girl, and out of the corner of your eye you see your socially awkward friend who you were forcefully paired up with during orientation. Now in high school you wouldn't have associated yourself with this type of freak, but he's sort of a nice guy and you really don't want to look like an asshole in front of the mildly intelligent human being sitting in front of you. Somehow kids are being tricked into thinking that nerd-chic is cool. Musicians are cool, but wannabes are not. You can't tell me you're crushing bitches like Cary Grant when you have the handle of guitar that looks like it was made by Fisher Price sticking out of your backpack. Put down the guitar, pick up a beer, and try physical communication (hey, it's going out of style).
