Does dynamometer testing damage the car?

There is no actual proof that dynamometer testing might damage the car in any certain way.

While performing tests, dynos don't interfere with the engines performance and more importantly, don't do any damage to it.
Some of the things that may cause damage to engines are over-revving, excessive heating, shock loading or incorrect fuel or ignition settings.
If however your engine malfunctions after performing a dynamometer test, it's almost certain that the testing, if properly done, wasn't the cause of the damage.

It is more likely to damage your engine when you drive your car on the road than when you test it by the means of a dynamometer under controlled artificial conditions. You should always make sure that the dyno operator is a trained professional and that the dynamometer has an appropriate cooling system.
A 60 centimeter diameter fan is appropriate for a power run. It will prevent the vehicle from overheating.

However, you should keep in mind that dynamometer testing and setting up race cars and bikes require more controlled testing conditions. A bike or car that heats up after a few hours testing suffers from heat soak into the transmission, bodywork, engine block, oil, and so on. This interferes with the amount of power produced, and influences the accuracy and the objectivity of the performance test.
To make sure everything will go smoothly while performing your tests on engines, you actually need a wind tunnel in which you should manipulate your dynamometer. When you are driving on the road at full power there is a lot of fresh air that surrounds and cools the entire vehicle, and you should do your best to recreate some of these natural conditions when you perform your tests.

If your dynamometer or the place you go to in order to get your car or bike dyno tested does not have suitable working conditions or lacks an appropriate cooling system, it is not advised to perform any tests.
The problem concerning the damage done by dynamometers on the tires is more debatable. Tire manufacturers recommend dynamometer owners to replace tires after every test performed. They claim that the tires design is not intended for purposes like dynamometer testing and say that the heat or tire deformation could damage the interior structure. Due to these facts, they strongly recommend replacing the tires after testing.

However, this should be done more as a precaution, and if the tires are rather new, well designed dynamometers should not damage them. Just to make sure that everything is in order, remember to always check the tires condition after every test you perform.

I drive a honda 1.6 SOHC with fuel injection and have round about 70Kw. How much will I have if I fit a 0.6 bar turbo, branches, port my head and dyna tune it?

Well, you say you don't want "stupid idiotic answers", but you ask a stupid idiotic question.

It's a cheap, low performance 1.6 engine. It's not designed to handle high horsepower. Nor will it. It's also a non-turbo engine, so it's not designed to work with a turbo anyway.

And yes, your fuel mileage will go down. How much, is hard to say, since it vastly depends on how you tune the car. And what other modifications you have. And how you drive.

Ask a vague question, expect vague answers.

Despite having one of the best rhino sanctuaries in the world, Lake Nakuru’s fame still revolves around its bird spectacle of a million flamingos. The fame of Lake Nakuru National park is further enriched by presence of all the big five except the elephant, the absence of which does not make Lake Nakuru less rewarding in terms of game watching. Flamingos:
Two species of flamingos exists in the lake Nakuru National Park- the lesser flamingo with deep red carmine bill and the greater flamingo with black tip. The flamingos feed on Blue green algae, created from their droppings mixing in the warm alkaline waters, and plankton. You can easily distinguish these from their feeding habits, with the lesser flamingos feeding on the top of the water surface and the greater from the lake bed.

Lake Nakuru National Park was established as a bird sanctuary in 1960, to protect the "greatest bird spectacle", for natural beauty and posterity. In 1968, lake Nakuru was upgraded to a National Park. In 1974 a northern extension was added to Lake Nakuru National Park increasing its area to the current 188 Km2. In 1990 Lake Nakuru National Park was designated a Ramsar site- a signatory of the Ramsar convention, for protection of wetlands of international importance. The park is managed by KWS on behalf of the central government.

Lake Nakuru Safaris:
A safari to lake Nakuru can take from one to several days. The safari is enhanced by visit to other attractions in the vicinity like Menangai crater, Hell’s Gate National Park, Mt Longonot, and other Rift Valley lakes- Baringo, Bogoria and Naivasha. Lake Bogoria is a fresh water lake, the home of the Maa speaking Jemps. The Jemps occupy the islands in the lake and derive their livelihood from the Lake. Lake Boringo is a spa resort with hot springs. It is the home of the greater Kudu and a bird watchers’ paradise. Lake Naivasha, is famous for her flower farming. All these can be combined to form an enjoyable safari for any traveler.

All visitors must enter the park through the official gates. Park is open from 06:00Hrs-18:00 Hrs daily.  No person is allowed to drive in the park at night.  Speed limit in the park is 40Km per hour.  No off track driving. No feeding of animals and no littering the park.  Do not entice any animals into your car.  Do not get out of your vehicle unless you are in a designated picnic or observation site.  Do not collect any animal remains-feathers, horns etc as souvenirs.  All these offences are punishable by a fine or a jail term.

Conservation Status:
The main challenges of existence of Lake Nakuru National Park as a bird spectacle are fourfold-

• the destruction of the Mau complex has led to drying up of main rivers like Njoro and Makalia which has greatly affected the level of the lake
• the pollution of the lake from domestic and industrial wastes from Nakuru town
• large mammal population which tends to interfere with the lakeshore breeding grounds of birds.
• In addition the park is completely fenced hence animals cannot freely migrate in and out of the sanctuary. Equally significance is the absence of the elephants which has resulted in some parts of the being heavily forested and hence not ideal for game watching.

In summary Lake Nakuru National Park is nature lovers' nivarna offering unparalled bird and game viewing opportunities.  Accommodation is available either inside the park or in Nakuru Town. The future of Lake Nakuru is uncertain but whoever conserves it stands reap enormous benefits

Sounds like a great idea! I think you would have to make the model years later than 1970 for most of the 125 and over classes. My 1971 AT-1 had 5 inches of travel (3.5" up and down and 1.5" side to side), which was way different from the bikes just five years later.

A Dinky Guitar is a reasonably priced guitar which doesn't sacrifice quality. If you are just starting out and don't want to spend a fortune, or you are on a tight budget, then a Dinky should be a guitar you should investigate buying.

You absolutely will never get out of tune no matter how aggressive you are because it has the flexibility of having the double locking floyd rose tremolo . It totally sounds grand merited in part due to the alder body. It looks sassy and rocker-y with the shark tooth inlays.

A Dinky is made as a Superstrat and it is a Double Cutaway Guitar. It has a two humbucker pickup configuration, with some models having a Single Coil Pickup or just a one Bridge Humbucker Pickup.

Usually, the Fret Board can be finished out of ebony or rosewood; and in more recent times maple, or rock maple, with 24 jumbo frets. It is also built with a bolt-on neck. Most of the guitars have a Floyd Rose original or licensed tremolo, and a locking nut to help maintain stable tuning. A few Dinkys have hardtail, or String-Thru bridges.

Hard rockers or heavy metal bands can be usually found playing a Dinky. But other guitar players in other niches can play Dinky's with success. There are a number of series by Jackson which has Dinky guitars.

There is one Dinky in the USA Select Series - the DK1. In the Pro series, there are five Jackson Dinky guitars models: the DK2L, DK2M, DK2S, DK2T and DK2FF. The DK2s are made from Alder with a Maple bolt-on neck. The fingerboard is Rosewood with 24 frets. The DK2 model has three Seymour Duncan pickups, two are Single Coil, the third (the bridge) is a humbucker.

The Jackson MG series has three Dinky models - the DKMGT and the DXMG. The JS Series has four models - JS1, JS20, JS30DK and JS30DKT Hardtail. The Pro series Artist has two models - the Christian Olde Wolbers Signature and the Christian Olde Wolbers Signature 7-string, are found in the Pro Series Artist.

Hello there, I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with harmony guitars (espicall the hummingbird model) and are they any good.
I'm a beginner to moderate, and I need a nice-ish guitar for as budgety as it gets. My dad saw one of these and thought it was a great price ($120) but I'd really like to know about them first.

Please personal experience, not music store reviews, I think those reviews are usually fake...

Depends on if its a new Harmony or an old one.

The Harmony Guitar Company was founded in 1892 and in its heyday was one of the biggest stringed musical instrument manufacturers in the U.S. In 1916, they were bought by Sears Roebuck and manufactured ukeleles, guitars, banjos and mandolins under their own brand name and a number of others as well as building instruments for Sears under the Silvertone brand name. In 1975, though, they went out of business due to competition from low cost foreign made instruments.

Harmony guitars were inexpensive -- IIRC, I paid about $70 for a Harmony acoustic guitar in 1973 or so -- but they really were good instruments for the price, and vintage Harmony instruments from the original company (pre-1975) sell well on Ebay.

The Harmony Guitar Company that exists today is an entirely different company that bought the rights to use the Harmony name a number of years back, after the original company went bust. I have no experience with new Harmony guitars and have no idea how they compare, quality-wise, with the original company's products.
